It might look difficult to anyone admiring your Web Blackwork Cross Stitch Pattern but it’s actually very simple to create with a bit of time and patience.
We’ve used just four colors in shades of red and blue for this design which is geometric. The Web Blackwork Cross Stitch Pattern is stitched on 16 count white Aida – although you could use any other color fabric and swap the DMC colors we’ve chosen for others already in your needlework box.
Measuring just 70 x 70 stitches, you could make this several times in different colors and then group them together on a wall. Alternatively, the Web Blackwork Cross Stitch Pattern would look fab as a birthday card for someone who appreciates the trouble you have taken to create it.
Although this design is described as blackwork, it looks just as effective in shades of color. The stitches are very easy because they’re all just small straight lines and the pattern, which you download from the internet as soon as you’ve ordered it, is very easy to follow.
Our Web Blackwork Cross Stitch Pattern is just one of our blackwork designs
The Web Blackwork Cross Stitch Pattern is just one of our blackwork designs so if you like it do take a look at some of the others. We have pages and pages of them so there is sure to be something there you’d like to make.
Once you’ve mastered blackwork, it’s very easy, you could consider using specialist threads like Gutermann’s holographic thread to personalise your design even further. We find that if we run this thread across a product called Thread Heaven, a silicone substance in a small blue box, it stops it tangling and makes holographic thread much easier to use.
We hope you enjoy stitching our Web Blackwork Cross Stitch Pattern as much as our young designer enjoyed creating it for you.
