Twisted Diamonds Blackwork Cross Stitch Pattern
This Twisted Diamonds Blackwork cross stitch pattern is perfect for those moving up their skill levels.
If you love cross stitching but you want to try something different here’s our Twisted Diamonds Blackwork Cross Stitch Pattern. Strictly speaking, the Twisted Diamonds Blackwork Cross Stitch Pattern isn’t cross stitch at all but actually something very simple and fun to make. On 16 count white Aida, it measures just 50 x 50 stitches and is one color. It looks incredibly difficult but if you are already an intermediate stitcher, or someone with a bit less experience but a lot of patience, then you’ll find it very rewarding to stitch. There are no curved lines in this design, all the stitches are small straight lines which look curved when seen from a distance. We’ve chosen to make this up with a single thread of black DMC but you could personalise it in lots of different ways, for instance by picking out some of the design components in a holographic or glitter thread. You could also use random dyed thread. We recently found a pack of very reasonably priced random dyed thread in a local craft shop. It was actually meant to make friendship bracelets but once we found it split into six threads we thought we’d give it a go and we were delighted with the outcome. If you have the time then it’s certainly worth experimenting with our Twisted Diamonds Blackwork Cross Stitch Pattern!
