Our Butterfly cross stitch patterns are very popular, and this one is perfect for Valentine’s Day. How many hearts can you count on this design? We’ve spotted at least 10!
We’ve chosen DMC thread in striking blue, cerise and pale pink for this design and the Butterfly cross stitch colors are outlined in a single black thread while the lettering for the message is in pink.
There are just five colors for this Butterfly cross stitch design so even if you need to buy all of them before stitching it is inexpensive to make. As usual, we’ve used 16 count Aida and the finished design makes up to 3.1 x 5 ins, so it’s ideal for a card or a small frame as a keepsake.
We have many other Valentine’s cross stitch designs, ranging from the modern robot and K9 to a birdhouse and patchwork heart. If you prefer modern designs then you’ll find lots of interest in our Valentine’s section. Please keep checking back as we upload several patterns a week.
What you get when you order our Butterfly cross stitch
If you buy the Butterfly cross stitch pattern you’ll get a detailed black and white symbol chart as well as a color block chart which makes the pattern easy to stitch. We suggest that you use DMC embroidery thread which is widely available and good quality but if you prefer to use another make of thread, or even change the colors for others you have in your needlework box, then that’s fine as well. Using 14 count Aida would mean the finished design was slightly larger and if you used 18 count Aida it would be a little smaller.
All our patterns are downloaded from the internet so if one of them takes you fancy you can buy it, or take out our good value subscription, and get to work right away.
