Autumn tree in the fall cross stitch pattern
Inspired by the changing seasons our cross stitch pattern invokes those feelings of the fall and Autumn trees.
Summer’s finally over and autumn has arrived with cooler temperatures and gusty winds to blow the leaves off the trees. Our beautiful 16 count Aida cross stitch pattern has been inspired by the changing seasons and we’re sure you’ll love stitching it. This pattern is for intermediate and advanced stitchers as it requires some skill. When you buy this pattern you’ll get a color block chart as well as another with black and white symbols and a recommendation for thread to use. But before the wind does its job, the leaves turn from green through flamboyant red and gold and make a lovely display, particularly if the tree is part of the acer, aspen or maple family. Canada is famous for its Fall display and there are several arboretums in the UK where you can get a glimpse of the Canadian experience. In Scotland, the golden leaves are set off against the drifts of mauve and purple heather and the blue sky reflected in a loch. It’s a very photogenic time of the year in the US and UK. As you can see, there are still plenty of leaves on our tree and the design is enhanced by clever shading on the trunk, grass and on the leaves themselves. The design is both modern and traditional at the same time. This is the first of our range of tree designs and we’ll be adding other seasons soon. They’d look fabulous as part of a set, framed in a wooden hoop and then grouped on a wall together. You could also make the design up into a card and send it to a friend as a thank-you or an autumn party invitation. Autumn is also a time to plant trees so if our design has inspired you, why not visit your local garden centre and choose a new tree so that next year you can have your own living creation?
